hej ...

if you want a travel without any supplements, use this connection which is about 8:30h ... you won't get it faster even using fast trains with supplements:

Barcelona Sants Dep. 08:25
Cerbere Arr. 11:13
Cerbere Dep. 12:26
Narbonne Arr. 13:57
Narbonne Dep. 14:25
Marseille-St-Charles Arr. 17:12

and always use this link to find train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

Thanks Peter, I take it that is all just one train journey not different connections?

it is all one journey ...
you just have to change the train in Cerbere and in Narbonne. always with enough time for the changes in case of delays. :)

Unfortunately I havent been able to find a hostel in Marseille so Im looking to go to Lyon tomorrow instead. I checked with Barcelona Sants train station today and they said I couldnt book my place on the train until tomorrow (my place in the line for the booth is probably too high for today?)

Anyway Im just wondering if Im missing something obvious because Ive gone from Lisbon to Madrid to Barcelona pretty easily (one train for each).

Is there an easy to get to destination in the South of France from Barcelona? Im really just trying to work my way East via interrail and would like to spend some tim in S. France.
