Hi there,
My Girlfriend and I made a reservation from Brussels to Berlin with a change at Cologne. This was purchased via interrail.eu on the 8th July. We received the e-tickets promptly for 2 persons with 2 seats on the 2 tickets but my girlfriends name is listed TWICE in the passenger list and I am not listed at all despite being listed as travellers together on her interrail account. We have tried every possible method of trying to resolve the issue. Initially we e-mailed and then phoned the interrail helpline who advised sending a whatsapp message. After several days of no response I phoned again and explained the issue, I was then told to send an e-mail explaining the problem and got a reply telling me it had been \'elevated\' to the reservation team (who do not take phone calls!?) My main question is does anyone think this will be an issue when we board the train? Two seats are booked but under the same name and it is clearly a misprint. This has caused unnecessary stress and I feel interrail are failing in their duty to help customers who have forked out money for passes. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this, any advise is hugely appreciated. Furthermore I can send a screenshot of the section of the ticket to clarify if this helps.
Regards,
Jacob

Hi Jacob, welcome to railcc!
For which train is the reservation issued?

OK then it is no issue at all. :)
1) You do not need a seat reservation at all to travel on ICE trains.
2) Seat reservations are normally not issued for an individual person (if you buy them at a train station for example)
2) Your reserved seats will be reserved (for you) and you can simply take your seats.
3) Reservations have to be claimed within 15 minutes from the departure station, after that the reservation will be void. In your case that means: your seats are reserved all the way from Brussels to Cologne and Cologne to Berlin. You have the reservation. If a conductor comes he may ask for your reservation (if he checks tickets right after departure) and you can either tell him the story or just say that you took the seats because they were free - without mentioning your reservation...since you have reserved your seats, no one else can claim them. Can you still follow...) ;)
So...just relax and get on your trains and enjoy the journey.
