Hello,
This coming August a friend and myself will be interrailing for a whole month (30 days with 10 travel days). I went interrailing with a group last summer so I am somewhat experienced. We know what countries we want to visit and some of the areas in each, but are unsure on the details and logistics of train routes etc. We are taking a tent and hope to camp in lots of areas (hoping to travel through a lot of the Alps). We are trying to cover more rural areas as opposed to \'capital hopping\' which is what I did last year.
We are flying to and from Paris on the 1st of August and the 31st of August respectively. From Paris we would like to cover:
Paris - - - French Alps (maybe Annecy?) - - - Switzerland (Lauterbrunnen & Grindelwald?) - - - Southern Germany (Alps region?) - - - Austria (Vienna? Sulzburg? Hallstatt?) - - - Slovenia (Ljubljana, Bled) - - - Potentially Croatia / Bosnia area in order to make our way down south (I have done Montenegro & Dubrovnik recently so somewhat keen to avoid them) - - - Greece - - (ferry from Greece to Italy?) - - Italy (making our way up to northern Italian mountains - - - - Paris.
I appreciate the route is a little vague but I am hoping for some recommendations as to where to go in these countries / regions, keeping in mind my desire for rural / mountainous / camping areas. I\'d also really appreciate advice on trains etc (at the moment it seems getting trains through the alps is difficult?)
Thank you very much :)
