Hello and welcome on rail.cc :)

Yes, it is always good to find routes avoiding reservations to travel cheap. And it is possible... :)

Paris-Brussels: travel by TER regional trains to Lille. There you change to IC trains in direction of Brussels. Everything free with Interrail.

Brussels-Amsterdam: avoid the direct expensive Thalys train. Instead travel with free IC trains.
Read here our blog: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/amsterdam-brussels-train/[/ux]

Amsterdam-Berlin: it is free by direct IC train.
Read here our blog: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/amsterdam-berlin/[/ux]

Berlin-Prague: also free by direct trains.
Read here our blog: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/berlin-prague-train/[/ux]

Prague-Vienna: and again free by direct train.

Vienna-Munich: use the direct Railjet trains for example - it is free. Westbahn is not included in Interrail. Maybe add a stop in Salzburg!? :)

Munich-Paris:
Before leaving Munich, add a trip (free by Interrail pass) to Castle Neuschwanstein: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/neuschwanstein-munich-fussen-train/[/ux]
If you want to travel by direct train or with change in Stuttgart, you will need this reservation: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-alleo/172

All in all, have a look at this information...
- live schedules are available here, where you also find the TER trains to Lille: [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux]
- the train types for Interrail with all reservations are here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
- and to get general information about routes, please use this tool: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

Finally, if you like the free content on rail.cc , please support us and buy your Interrail pass (if you don\'t have it already) via our partner link at NO extra costs for you: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)

Pete :)
