Good morning.
According to the Interrail website, the reservation of trains between Budapest and Bratislava is OPTIONAL. What can happen to me if I do not book the train?
Could I not book the train and arrive and sit down without being kicked out of the train?
I want to book the train to avoid problems, can I do it online? Do I have to do it at the Budapest train station when I get there?
It would be helpful if someone could help me with the link to book these trains:
Vienna-Budapest
Budapest-Bratislava
Bratislava-Prague
Prague-Berlin
thank you very much

Hi and welcome to railcc!
You will find all information about trains, including reservations and how and if to avoid them here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation[/ux]
For the EC trains from Budapest to Bratislava you do not need a reservation. In case a train would be fully booked you will have to sit on the floor (unless the train would be too crowded).
If you want to make a seat reservation, simply buy it locally at one of the train stations in Budapest https://rail.cc/en/budapest/station/c . It is also possible at train stations in other countries; but no need to make reservations long time in advance. Bought locally it will be chepeast.
Bratislava - Prague: same applies as for Budapest - Bratislava. Online reservations should be possible at [ux]https://rail.shop/zssk/[/ux]
Please note that with Interrail, you cannot use the trains of private operator "Regiojet" between Bratislava and Prague: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-company/regiojet/182[/ux]
Anyway, there are direct EC trains operated by state railways ZSSK and CD which you can use with Interrail (these are the trains coming from Budapest), so you will find direct trains every two hours (which include a nice restaurant car btw...).
Prague - Berlin: Seat reservations are available at [ux]https://rail.shop/cd/[/ux] but are not compulsory. Read more here: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/berlin-prague-train/[/ux]
