Hello all!
I have a one month interrail pass and I plan to do a big circle around the continent, starting in France and looping round through to Germany.
However, I'm unsure how exactly to diversify my funds to get the best, most flexible results.
My current plan is to exchange £200 into Euros here in the UK to get a good exchange rate, and have enough cash on my person to last me a good while, then take an extra £200 in travellers cheques to cash after that before finally turning to my debit card for the last third of the journey, withdrawing whatever I think I'll need from a major city's ATM.
Does this sound like a realistic plan? Factors I need to take into account are: safety, but then again this will be an issue no matter what I carry. Cashing the travellers cheques, is this easy? Might I run into problems? Is it worth it? And finally finding a cash machine.
Any advice or hints would be great. Thanks in advance.

get a nationwide debit card.
i have a halifax card which debits £1.50 per atm transaction + adds a 'load' surcharge if i buy anything abroad (adds 2% i think to the cost)
