Do you have to validate ticket before getting on the train

Hi, brand new to the forum, have used trains in France and Italy, and had to validate ticket on the platform before getting on the train.
Is it the same in Austria? In particular Innsbruck.

No need to do this in Austria. Do you travel with point to point train tickets? In Austria the saver fare is called "Sparschiene" and online available here: [ux]https://rail.shop/omio[/ux]
