Does anyone know if I can take the train from Prague to Wachau/Danube Valley/Melk? We were thinking we could then take a Danube river boat from the valley to Vienna. Has anyone done this or have any useful information? Thank you in advance!

Hi Gary, welcome to railcc!

Sorry for the late answer...

Best option is to take a train from Prague to Vienna (Railjet every two hours, buy at [ux]https://rail.shop/cd/[/ux] or Regiojet four times daily, but at [ux]https://rail.shop/regiojet[/ux].
From Vienna you have frequent connections by regional trains to Melk and Krems; from both cities (as well as from Vienna) you can take a boat cruise along Danube in Wachau; it is also possible to do round trips, such as train Vienna - Melk and boat Melk - Vienna or vice versa.

Information about boats on the Danube: [ux]https://www.ddsg-blue-danube.at/[/ux]
