Hi,
Myself and 4 friends are looking to travel from Budapest to Vienna (as part of a series of connections) on the 05:55 from Keleti https://rail.cc/en/night-train/bucharest-vienna-en-346/49 . It\'s saying we need to book a reservation for the seat, but this is not showing on the interrail reservation service, is there a way to book a seat (we don\'t want a sleeper or anything like that) online just for the Budapest to Vienna section?
Thanks

Hi and welcome to railcc!
What is your overall connection? Are you planning on taking the night train from Belgrade to Budapest and changing there to the Dacia? This would be quite risky and not worth the hassle...
...and I just realise that the Dacia is leaving Keleti at 0540 already, the stop at 0555 is at Kelenföld station.
Anyway, there is no option to make reservations online (you may try [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation/[/ux]) but the best option would be to either get the reservations locally at the station (or a few days in advance at another station) or to contact Wasteels travel agency in Budapest: [ux]https://rail.shop/wasteels[/ux]

Thanks for the information on that, my mistake on the timings. We\'re travelling from Budapest to Rimini, hopefully connecting in Vienna, Rosenheim, Verona and Bologna. The only thing I was worried about was the reservations being fully booked on the train from Budapest to Vienna, but I don\'t know how likely that is.

OK - the train being fully booked on the Budapest to Vienna part shouldnt be a problem at all. There are extra coaches added for daytime travellers Budapest - Vienna. Anyway, I would make the reservations in advance during your stay in Budapest.
Regarding your remaining itinerary, you do not have much leeway for changing trains in Vienna, so hopefully the night train will be on time (normally he is).
