Hei

Parasta on ostaa junalippusi Lissaboniin Albufeiraan Portugalin rautateiden verkkosivuilla: [ux]https://rail.shop/cp[/ux]
Liput ovat saatavilla Euro 10: ltä. Kuten aikaisemmin teet, liput ovat halvempia.
Matkaaika on noin 3 tuntia.
Lipun varaus on mahdollista 7.6.

Hello and welcome.

The best is to buy your train tickets for Lisbon to Albufeira on the website of Portuguese railways: [ux]https://rail.shop/cp[/ux]
Tickets are available from Euro 10. As earlier you book, as cheaper the tickets are.
The journey time is about 3 hours.
Booking of tickets is possible until the 7 June. So you have to wait some more days until you can book your return journey.

The station closest to the city center is "Santa Apolónia" https://rail.cc/en/lisbon/lisbon-santa-apolonia-station/l397 - not big, everything is relaxed and easy to travel with a baby! :)
More stations in Lisbon are here: https://rail.cc/en/lisbon/station/c

Your feedback is welcome, as I also travel with a baby by train - something new and every country, station and train type is different.

Pete :)

Hi!

If you are going to Albufeira, travelling from Santa Apolonia doesnt make sense as trains to the south do not call there. ;)

Trains to the south call at Oriente and Entrecampos (Alfa Pendular and Intercity; Intercity also call at Sete Rios), all located north of the (old) city centre and easily reachable by metro from the old town.

Thank you
So, Oriente or Entrecampos. I\'m little bit nervous can I find a right line from station, so thats why I asked which is easy and simple station :) Our hotel location is near old city (Mundial) but we have 2 large suitcases - so maybe taxi is easier. Thats why I have thinking which one is better way go to Albufeira, bus or train. Please tell, if you have some experiences which is the best way. Flying to Faro ofcourse, but its costs a lot :)

Your hotel is located right next to Martim Moniz metro station; however, I would recommend walking the ~500m to Restauradores metro station, then change at Marques de Pombal and go to Sete Rios to board the train. This will be the quickest option, also doable with suitcases; just plan with enough time so you do not have to hurry. There are lifts available at all stations.

I would prefer train over bus; much more space, you can walk around the train with the baby, restaurant/bar coach is available...

If you get seasick easily, I would avoid the Alfa Pendular trains - these are tilting trains of the same type as the Pendolino trains of VR back home in Finland. ;)
There are two (faster) AP trains to Albufeira plus three (slower) regular Intercity trains (not as modern and sophisticated as VR double deck IC trains, but quite comfortable).
