Hi,
I\'m trying make a seat reservation to the bus from München to Prag, but it isn\'t possible at DB\'s website. Any other ways to make reservations to this connection? And have I understood correctly that this bus is included in the interrail pass, so only the seat reservation is needed?

Hi.
The ICbus is included in Interrail but you need a reservation for Euro 4,50 - like you already know: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/intercity-bus-prag/209
The Interrail reservation is currently only available at train stations.

But you can avoid the ICbus on the route from Munich to Prague - use a free ALEX train: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/alex/158
It is much more scenic and relaxing by train. :)
Schedules here: [ux]http://www.laenderbahn.com/downloads/fahrplan/alex/ALX_Fahrplan122017_PRAG_WEB.pdf[/ux]

As Pete says, the ALEX is much more fun and very comfortable too! I can highly recommend this trip.
Just a pity the ALEX TREF and CD Bord Bistro is gone now...

Yup...I am quite curious about the new coaches on this service: refurbished ex-Trenitalia UIC-Z compartment coaches; apparently some of them have been changed to ABbmdz, with some 1st class compartments, PRM compartment and bar/info/kiosk compartment.
The CD bistro however is really missing...

Yeah, the ex FS Eurofima\'s are indeed nicely refurbished mit gratis WLAN! I tried them out on an ALEX from München to Hof and back a couple of weeks back and was most impressed.

Do you know why they have removed the CD Bord Bistro and ALEX TREF cars were removed? It really is a pity they are gone, I had a god run through to Praha back in Oktober and enjoyed some helles in the ALEX TREFF and then dinner in the CD Bord Bistro when over the border for "happy hour".
I wonder what has become of these wagens now, maybe deployed on ALEX Süd to Lindau und Oberstdorf or scrap? I hope not. I remember one of them also had a strange brown livery.

OK sounds good. :)

CD doesnt have that many of these ARmpee832 bistro cars, they couldnt provide enough for the new two-hourly services between Prague and Munich. They only have six, but use only three on a daily basis (Krakow - Prague - Bohumin, Bohumin - Prague - Krakow and Opava - Prague - Opava). A fourth is used on the weekend relief train Prague - Kosice (fridays), Kosice - Prague (sundays) and the two remaining are either in maintenance or used as reserve in case a Supercity or a regular restaurant car fails.

ALX has/had several different types of "Treff" coaches, however they have been replaced by regular coaches to offer more seats - apparently train length of ALX is limited (thats why they also have a number of double deck coaches) on the nothern core route to Schwandorf (where trains split to Hof/Prague).
I dont really now about the situation of "Alex south", but there may still be some "original" Treff cars in operation.

The brown/beige livery was in reminiscence of the old TEE (Trans Europ Express) services of the ~ 60ies/70ies... :)
