Hi



I\'m an Australian citizen going to Krakow from BAKU VIA Ukraine ( Kiev ) ,by train
Do i have to have train tickets ( from Ukraine to Krakow ) to obtain transit visa on border to inter Ukraine
If yes, what document i should present?
Does it cost any money?

Hi Djamie,

as mentioned on your other post already, going only by train would require travelling through Russia, for which you would also need a transit visa.
An alternative connection would be available via Georgia and the Batumi/Poti to Chernomorsk/Odesa ferry.

However, there is now also a direct night train running from Baku via Astrachan - Volgograd - Charkiv to Kyiv which could be interesting for you too. Still, this would also run through Russia, hence you would require a Russian transit visa too.

You will have to apply for a visa beforehand, visa on arrival is not available!

Normally, travel tickets are required when applying for transit visas, as proof of your intended transit through the country.
