Hello !

My friends and I want to travel from Athens to Paris, with an Interrail Pass.
We saw that it is normally possible to follow this way : Athens/Thessaloniki/Zagreb (by Belgrade)/Paris (by München).
It uses a InterCity train from Athens to Thessaloniki, and a night train from Thessaloniki to Belgrade (by Skopje). But impossible to fine some tickets to purchase ! I even don\'t know if these lines are compatible with an Interrail Pass !
So, could you please tell us where it is possible to buy these tickets ?

Thank you in advance !

Hi and welcome to railcc!

Please be aware that if you travel with an Interrail pass you do not need additional _tickets_! You might only need _reservations_ for travel on certain trains. Read more here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation[/ux] and for night trains here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train[/ux]

Regarding your route:
From Athens to Thessaloniki there are frequent Intercity trains. You can find the schedules here: [ux]https://rail.shop/ose[/ux] Reservation used to be compulsory but I have received information that you might also be able to travel without a reservation. Please ask locally at the station and tell us about your experience! :)

From Thessaloniki to Belgrade there is only this night train: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/belgrade-skopje-thessaloniki-train/[/ux]
I recommend to buy a reservation for the couchette car locally at the station in Thessaloniki.

Belgrade to Zagreb can be done without a reservation during the day or night; from Zagreb you can travel without a reservation during the day to Munich; or you could also take a night train (reservation required).

Support our work and buy your official Interrail pass via our partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)
