I\'m finally decided to go inter railing this summer... Yaaay... :D
But \'m not sure witch ticket to chose from between 7 days or 10 days - Flex ticket. And I want to buy it now in March while the 15% discount offer is still valid. I have two to three weeks holiday but not a big wallet either and I\'m traveling alone. I have booked flight tickets to Amsterdam and my journey will start there. The only cities I\'m sure of is Amsterdam and Paris. And the plan is leaving Amsterdam and go for Paris. Other places that is lucrative to see is Rome, the Alps (maby glacier express or summer skiing somewhere). And I also would appreciate sun and beach. I\'m just not sure (as a first time interrailer) what to choose and what is realistic to achieve. I have tried the ticket widget at the site that helps you choose your ticket, but I\'m hesitating due to where ever I\'m not or am going by train home to Norway (or have that opportunity in travel days if a plain ticket is to expensive at that moment,) and how many places I will have the time to visit. I want to stay at least 3 days in the big cities.
One Idea of a route is:
Amsterdam - Paris - and somewhere to/through the alps - Milano - Nice - Spain (Barcelona, Mallorca etc.)
or another:
Amsterdam - Paris - Nice / or somewhere to/through the alps - Pisa - Rome
What do you think?

Hi and welcome to railcc!
First off, I would decide whether you want to return to Norway by train or by plane.
If you return by train I would calculate with at least two days to get back to Norway; depending on where you start and where you have to go in Norway) - eg it is easy to get from Germany to Hirtshals in Denmark within one day and take the ferry from there to Fredrikshavn, Stavanger or Bergen.
If you live further up north a flight might be easier and of course quicker.
The most sensible option IMO woul be to start with Amsterdam, Paris, then head to Spain (if you want to go); before returning along the Mediterranean coast to Rome; from there you can go to Milan, across the Alps and back to Norway.
If you travel for "only" about two weeks seven travel days will be enough; plan your journey with less stops then (maybe skip Spain).
If you can go for three weeks you would have enough time to make use of the ten travel days, visit Spain and Italy and even return to Norway by train.
Keep in mind that you can also travel by train within Norway with one of your travel days.
