Hello, and first of all thank you for very helpful site.
I still have a few maybe obvious questions, but I just want to make sure that I’m doing everything right.
1. I will be travelling with Interrail Global Pass (7 days in 1 month) to Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Switzerland and Italy. So most of these countries require reservation on the trains. Am I right that I can buy my reservation online and just print it on A4 paper for SJ, DSB, DB, SNCF(TGV) and SBB? And only in Italy I have to print ticket in ticket machine? Is that correct?
2. I will be traveling on Allegro from Saint-Petersburg to Helsinki, then from Helsinki to Turku without Interrail, so my 1st Interrail ticket day will be in Sweden. Also I’ve already bought ferry ticket (TallinkSilja, Turku-Stockholm) with Interrail discount. Is that okay that I’m not using any day for ferry? I read that that’s fine. And should I write my ferry journey to the travel diary? I will be going back same way so on my ferry back I would not have any Interrail ticket days. Can I use Interrail discount for ferry if there is no days left in my ticket but it’s still valid?
3. I’m going to buy my Interrail ticket with 15% spring discount via your link on interrail.eu. There is one place on purchasing page where I should write my national ID number. I’m not sure is that number from my Russian national passport or my international passport with Schengen visa? I guess the second one. Also do you know if DHL is bringing ticket straight to your address or to the Post Office?
4. In some of my travelling days I will have a lot of train changes (5-6). Can I just write down in the morning all of my trains for that day in my travel diary so there will be no need to do it on each one of my trains?
Thank you. :)

Hi and welcome to railcc!
1) You dont need seat reservations for (domestic) travel with DSB, DB, SBB. Only for the international EC trains from Denmark to Germany you need a reservation in summer. You can buy it online here: [ux]https://rail.shop/dsb/reservation/[/ux]
Print at home or have it sent to you (extra charge).
TGV reservations from [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation/[/ux] are print at home or can be loaded to the oui.sncf app.
SJ reservations can be shown as PDF on your phone/laptop or printed.
2) You dont need to use a travel day to get the discount for the ferry; but your Interrail pass has to be already valid on the day of your travel with the ferry. You can also get the discount if there are no travel days left - only the pass has to be still valid.
3) The ID number will be printed on your ticket; you might have to show the corresponding ID to a train conductor. So whether you choose your national ID or your international passport you will have to take this document with you on your trip.
I\'m not quite sure about DHL delivery in Russia, maybe Pete can say something more?
4) Yes, you can write all trips in advance; but it is not a problem to just write each train after boarding too. Whichever you prefer. You can also erase a train from the travel diary in case you choose to take another one; but you cannot erase a wrong travel date from the actual Interrail Pass!
Have a nice trip! :)
