Hello everybody!
I\'m planning to go on an interrail trip around europe this may, and I was wondering what beach/island in Croatia would be the best place to visit.

My first stop in Croatia will be Zagreb, and after Croatia I will go to Ljubljana in Slovenia. However I really want to visit some beach/Island in Croatia before I go to Slovenia, I just don\'t know which place would be smartest? I don\'t want to spend a huge amount of time to travel to some beach city and then back to Slovenia, since this would be a looot of travel time. Any suggestions? I dont know much about trainroutes in croatia :D

Hi and welcome to railcc!

Unfortunately most beaches/islands are not directly accessible by rail and also require a detour if you then want to continue to Slovenia.

Maybe have a look at Split and the surrounding area; Split is easily accessible by day and night train: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/zagreb-split-night-train/[/ux]

Another option could be Istria with Pula; a bus/train connection is available from Zagreb via Rijeka and Lupoglav to Pula and during summer a direct train operates from Pula to Ljubljana.
