How do I get from budapest to Bled or ljubljana as i understand direct to bled may not be possible. we are travelling on the 9th of July and want a night train? I cant seem to find any online, thank you!!

Hi and welcome to railcc!
As already mentioned there is a summer season night train from Budapest to Ljubljana and onwards to Koper and Rijeka. During the year (including summer) there is also a daily direct train from Budapest to Ljubljana, from where you have a connection to Bled.

If the arrival time in Ljubljana is too early for you there would be a connection from Divaca via Sezana to Bled Jezero; however you would then arrive at Bled Jezero at 13:05; if you get off the night train in Ljubljana you could be in Lesce Bled at 07:09 already.
