Hello!
My friend has been living in the UK for 6 years - so is entitled to get the interrail pass. He holds both a South African and Canadian passport. He will be travelling on the Canadian passport because it is accepted all over Europe without additional visas, BUT the South African passport has his UK visa information showing date of entry to the UK.
So, since he will be travelling with the Canadian passport, will the visa in the South African passport be accepted as proof of residency, or should he bring some additional documentation?
Sorry if this is confusing!

Hi Dave ...
no problem for him ... the easiest way for him is to travel with both passports. with the South-African one he buy his InterRail pass and during your tour when your InterRail ticket will be checked in the trains he shows his South-African passport with the visa in it.
at the borders he shows his Canadian passport.
that's it !! :) and no problem to do it this way ...!
when he orders his InterRail pass via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] , he just has to fill in the passport number of his South African passport (the one with the visa in it !!!!!) and as country of residence he has to select the UK.
I hope this answer helps !!? :)
have a lot of fun and all the best,
Peter
