Hello,

I'm also a noob to InterRail, but I'll try to make my questions simple.
I am considering a 5-in-10-days global pass, however I wonder if I would really need it if visiting the cities above in the title. I checked the connections between Milan and Barcelona and it seems like a long trip unless TGV or other fast line is involved. Any ideas how much a supplement for TGV would cost given a global pass?

Or if anyone has any experience traveling from Milan to Barcelona or Barcelona to Amsterdam, please share :)
thanks in advance!

hi ...

a supplement for a TGV is between 3 to 10 EUR depending if you travel in peak time or not. you pay per train, NOT per day !

for the long travels, have a look at the night-trains:

Corail Lunéa night train in France: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/france/fr

CNL - City Night Line in Central Europe: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/germany/de

Barcelona-Paris: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/france/fr

Barcelona-Milan: https://rail.cc/en/train/barcelona-to-milan

and you can travel the big cities with a 5 days in 10 InterRail pass...! :)
but have a look at the rule of the night-trains: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
it will help you!
have fun,
Peter
