Hi and welcome to railcc!

You can bring small dogs (who can sit on your lap) on board Irishrail trains free of charge. They must be muzzled or in a box.

Larger dogs are only carrying in the guard/luggage van and you need an extra ticket. Details: [ux]http://www.irishrail.ie/travel-information/travelling-with-animals[/ux]

Regarding general rules of bringing dogs/pets/animals to Ireland please read here: [ux]http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/moving_country/moving_to_ireland/coming_to_live_in_ireland/bringing_pets_to_ireland.html[/ux]
