I am interested in supporting the site with a partner purchase. Is there a link that I can use when I make my night train reservations? Is there a convenient way to see what prices and seats are available?

For a train from Koln to Wien, DB says reservations online are not possible. Same when looking it up from OeBB. I received a quote directly through interrail, but they only priced one option for each leg of my journey, and I want to know the difference before I choose a seat vs a couchette option.

Hi!

Thanks for supporting us or wanting to do so. ;)

You can look up the Interrail reservation fares for basically all night trains in Europe here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train[/ux]

The Düsseldorf - Cologne - Vienna night train is here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/duesseldorf-vienna-en-40490-nightjet/43[/ux]
More info about travelling with nightjet trains: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/train-type/nightjet/320[/ux]
Blog about our journey on a nightjet from Munich to Rome (you will find the same amenities on the Düsseldorf to Vienna service): [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/nightjet-night-train-munich-rome/[/ux]

You can still book Interrail reservations for nightjet services online from Deutsche Bahn via our partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
You will find a description of how to make such a reservation online if you follow the link to the Düsseldorf - Vienna night train I posted above.

Another option would be to reserve the night train via phone from either DB at +49 180 6 99 66 33 or ÖBB at +43 5 17 17

Perfect! The Interrail website instructions took me to a page where the reservations were not possible, I couldn\'t get through on the DB phone line, but...

your link and instructions worked, and I saved a few euro by avoiding the Interrail booking fee!

(I also bought my interrail passes through your link so I hope that went through correctly!)

For my Zagreb-Munchen-Koeln return, I do not get a link for "book supplement only."

Does this mean I need to keep trying by phone or at the Koeln Hbf? or should I go ahead and book through interrail"s booking service in case there is limited availability?

Thanks for supporting us! :)

Regarding the return from Zagreb; I assume you want to travel with the Zagreb - Munich night train? They unfortunately didn\'t implement booking of Interrail reservations for this night train (until recently you couldn\'t book the night train online at all) so your options would be the reservation service, ordering via phone or buying the reservation directly at a railway station (before or during your trip).
Since it is the return journey it should be sufficient to book during your trip, but if you want to take this train on a certain date (and have no other option available) better safe than sorry - book in advance.
If you have a railway station where you can go to I would recommend to get the reservation there - easiest solution and no booking fees.
