I am deciding whether to choose a first class or second class Interrail Pass for me and my daughter. I intend to do some work on my laptop during the trip, and would like to know how common laptop electrical hookups (I am not talking about Wireless Internet, although that would be great) are on First Class and Second Class trains, respectively.
Thanks!

hi...
as I also traveling in most case with my laptop to have the time to answer questions here at the forum ;) I am as well looking every time for electrical hookups.
in 1st class cars, you will have in most European high-speed-trains at your seat... for example at the TGV (France), ICE (Germany) and as well in Spain and Italy, Eurostar, Thalys ...
so for the 1st class it is absolutely no problem.
when traveling in the 2nd class, you have only special seats with electrical hookups. most times at the end of the cars close to the doors and sometimes at seats where you have tables.
you can always ask when you for example make a reservation for a train to get a seat with a electrical hookup.
for me it was never a problem until today to work on trains! :)
all the best,
Peter
