Hi Kathrine, welcome to railcc!

Fredericia to Berlin: You can buy online from German Raiwlays here: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]. Also have a look at the offers from Belgian Railways: [ux]https://rail.shop/beurope[/ux]

Berlin to Paris: The night train used to be available online at SNCF: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux] however I just checked and it isn\'t shown right now. You could still book from Russian Railways: [ux]https://rail.shop/rzd/[/ux]
The night trains runs from Berlin to Paris once a week, on Thursday evening. More info: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/berlin-paris-night-train/[/ux]

In France, you can simply buy tickets locally in Normandy. You will get a 25% discount on TER (regional trains): [ux]https://www.ter.sncf.com/normandie/offres/tarifs/billets-decouverte[/ux]

Cherbourg to Brussels and Brussels to Fredericia can be bought from omio [ux]https://rail.shop/omio/[/ux] or Belgian Railways: [ux]https://rail.shop/beurope[/ux]

Alternatively you could think about getting an Interrail pass - how long do you want to travel?

Dear Flo
Thank you so much for your answer.
As you proabebly know: I am writing af Danish book OPLEV EUROPA MED TOG (EXPLORE EUROPE BY TRAIN)
and therefore I want to make a little trip to Normandy by train, and as I have never been on the Russian Night Train from Berlin to Paris, I think that would be a nice article for my book with this tour to Normandy... Perhaps it would be a good idea to go back from Paris to Berlon - and take 1. class back?
Have you made this tour?

Hi Britt,

I have to admit I didn\'t recognise you - but now I do ;)

The night train is really comfortable and one of the best trains in Europe at the moment - it is worth the rather high price especially if you are into the trains _and_travelling. :)
Peter and I travelled to Moscow and return with this night train: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/night-train-paris-moscow/[/ux]

There are two types of 1st class on this train: the new Siemens sleeping cars with two beds on each side of the compartment and the "deluxe" coaches with two beds above each other and ensuite shower and WC. Both are very comfortable and there is also a nice shower on the regular sleeping car.
Deluxe is really quite expensive, especially if you book a cabin for your own so it would be enough to book a single cabin on the regular 1st class, especially since you wont have too much time onboard anyway. And you still want to try out the restaurant car... ;)

It may be interesting to travel one way by night train and the other by regular day train; the 1st class onboard the Cologne - Brussels - Paris Thalys services is quite nice. :)
