Hi,

My boyfriend and I are starting our interrail journey in 2 weeks and so are currently reserving trains. We are travelling from Krakow to Budapest-Keleti on one journey but have realised that we only have a 9 min window to change trains in Zebrzydowice. Is this realistic? Do the trains run regularly there? Hope this question makes sense!

Thanks

Hi and welcome to railcc!

I assume that you want to use this connection:

Krakow Glowny 1022 - 1313 Zebrzydowice
Zebrzydowice 1323 - 1935 Budapest Keleti

It makes much more sense to stay on the first train from Krakow until the Czech border station of Bohumin:

Krakow Glowny 1022 - 1331 Bohumin

And only change there to the train to Budapest:

Bohumin 1350 - 1935 Budapest Keleti

Apart from having more time to change trains (and extra time in case of a delay from Krakow) you would also need only one reservation: From Krakow to Bohumin. From Bohumin to Budapest you do not need a reservation; however you can of course get one if you want to do so.

It would be also sufficient to get the reservations locally at a railway station if you want to save on shipping costs.

Perfect! Please just ask if you have more questions, we usually know more than a schedule planner... ;)
