Hello,
Tommorow i will start interrailing with my girlfriend and we just filled in our first train in the travel diary. We were wondering two thing while doing that: Do we have to list our ferry from split to ancona in the travel diary? Because we just got regular tickets with discount and can we just put a line through a row if we make a mistake, for example when missing a train?

Hi Dylan and Chantal.
The answer is nice to hear for you! :)
Do I have to use a travel day for travelling with discounted transportation?
If you are using a train or ferry where you get an Interrail discount you do not have to use a travel day, unless you are going to use other trains that are included in Interrail on that day.

This means: no need to use a travel day if you use the ferry on discounted tickets. Don\'t fill in anything in your Interrail travel diary.
Also I do not recommend to fill you travel diary in advance! Fill it in when you are on the platform or as soon as you are on your seat.
If you miss a train, fill in the next row with the train you take.
If you bought your Interrail pass via our partner link and got the 5% special discount [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/interrail-discount/[/ux] , just let me know and I set your profile to a free Plus account! Thank you for supporting all the free information we offer here on rail.cc ! :)
Have a sunny trip. Pete :)

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunaly, we didnt buy our ticket via that link. We payed 148 euros for a sea view room on the overnight ferry including taxes etc.
