My boyfriend and I are planning on visiting Monte Carlo for a day as a stop in our way between Nice and Genova in August. We were wondering if there were any left luggage as we found contradictory informations online.
Can anybody give us some recent update on this issue? If there is no such service at the train station, is there any other place where we could leave our backpacks?
Thank you in advance,
a Hungarian couple

Hi and welcome to rail.cc
As much if I remember right, there are no lockers at the train station of Monaco https://rail.cc/en/monaco/monaco-monte-carlo-railway-station/l513
Maybe someone else knows more ?!

If memory serves there was a Consigne de bagages at one of the hotels across the street from le Gare de Nice Ville when I was there last summer -(ask them at the info desk in the Gare which one). Nice is well worth spending a day or more in as well as Monaco, so you could stop off in Nice to store your backpacks and then take a TER to Monaco, -(only about 15 minutes).
I read something on wikitravel I think about there being no left luggage at all anywhere in Monaco due to a number of obvious reasons..
It\'s almost just as bad here in London and most of England for that matter, you just have the expensive Excess Baggage Company at all the main rail stations and Airports . They charge way over the top prices per bag by the hour as they have the manopoly over here.. I have always failed to understand why we do not have left luggage lockers here like almost every other European country, I guess since IRA in the 80\'s/90\'s it\'s since been a non-starter, but the world has changed in twenty years.. Yet another example of the failures of the privatised railway in the UK... But this is off topic! -(sorry, I could not resist ranting about this!!)
Bon voyage!
