I want to reserve a night train from Rijeka to Budapest on 10-Aug-2017. I have seen the information on: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/rijeka-budapest-b480-1604-1247/419. I have followed the link to the Máv-Start website but cannot reserve a train seat.
The website also states I must collect my ticket from a Hungarian station, but I am travelling from Croatia to Hungary. How can I reserve a seat on the overnight train?

Hi and welcome to railcc!

Do you want to make a seat reservation only (eg are you travelling with a rail pass - Interrail or Eurail?) or do you want to book a ticket for this train?

Unfortunately, online tickets from MAV website are the only ones available - with collection at a station in Hungary. If you want to travel in the opposite direction you will have to buy the ticket/reservation at an international ticket desk at a train station. This can be at a station in Croatia, but as well in other countries, such as Slovenia, Austria, Germany... where are you from/where are you travelling before taking the train from Rijeka to Budapest?

Hi Flo,
I have an interrail pass and want to make a seat reservation only.
I\'m travelling from Italy -> Slovenia (Ljubljana) -> Croatia (Rijeka). Do all train stations have international ticket desks? How can I find out which train stations have these desks?

Thanks!

No, not all stations have international ticket desks; in Italy you can buy these reservation at larger stations (for example in Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice etc...); in Slovenia you will get them at least in Maribor, Ljubljana.
