Hi! I am planning to travel (business trip, 8 June) from Turin (Italy) to Trondheim (Norway) by train. This is my first travel and I need help in order to plan my travel. Can anyone give me some pointers? I am anxious to avoid any trouble. Thank you in advance!

Hi and welcome to rail.cc,

traveling from Turin to Trondheim by train takes at least 40 hours, depending on the connection; but it is likely that you will need more time if you want/have to make intermediate overnight stops along the way.

I would recommend to check timings at [ux]http://plan.rail.cc/[/ux] first to see if you really want to travel on this route for a business trip. Alternatively you can look for a plane trip at [ux]https://rail.shop/kiwicom[/ux]

When you decide to go by train it is important that you cannot buy one single ticket from Turin to Trondheim; you will have to buy several separate tickets. For instance from Turin to Hamburg, from Hamburg to Göteborg and from Göteborg to Oslo. When you do this it is important that you have enough time for changing trains in those cities where you "change" from one ticket to another.
An alternative would be to buy an Interrail ticket, for instance the 5in15 Global Pass: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass[/ux]
This would cover the whole trip with just very few extra reservations needed (you can also travel the whole route without reservations). However I would recommend to make one or two overnight stops en route to arrive in Trondheim fresh and relaxed. ;)

If you have decided what you want to do we are happy to help with further detailed planning! :)
