Train from Seoul to Gyeongju

Hi All

I was wondering if is necessary to reserve a train ticket (KTX) from Seoul to Gyeongju?

Should I just buy the tickets before boarding the train?

What is the best option?

I would recommend to make a seat reservation. Are you travelling with a Korail pass or with a single ticket? You can check timings, fares and buy tickets online at [ux]https://rail.shop/korail[/ux]

From Seoul to Gyeongju a change of trains is necessary in Dongdaegu; the first leg from Seoul is by KTX, the second leg from Dongdaegu is by regular train. Making a reservation beforehand/buying your tickets in advance seems more convenient to me as you have your seat guaranteed and less hassle buying tickets/reservations locally at a station.

However, I have no personal experience from South Korea so I would be interested in your experiences after the trip! :)
