From Istanbul to Sofia

I am interested in that route but i havent found any ticket online. Im afraid of going to Istambul and not been able to go to Sofia, where i have to take my flight.

Hi Jose and welcome to rail.cc,

unfortunately it isnt possible to buy ticket and reservation for this connection online; however it is no problem to buy the ticket locally at Istanbul Sirkeci station. How long are you going to stay in Istanbul before travelling to Sofia? The train is very unlikely to be fully booked, even if you buy your ticket on the day of departure.
Apart from the train there are also several long distance buses operating from Istanbul to Sofia so you would still have an alternative option. The new night train certainly is the more comfortable option though, even though you have to get up in the middle of the night for border controls at the border between Turkey and Bulgaria.
