Hi guys,

I am interested in taking the ferry from Livorno to Barcelona (which I believe I can travel on using my interrail pass). Can anyone provide any advice on using this ferry route? Do you need to pay extra for it?

Hope you can help!

Thanks,
Mike

Or perhaps you can advise on any other ferries going from Italy to Barcelona using the interrail pass?

Hi Mike and welcome to rail.cc,

have a look here [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/livorno-barcelona/24[/ux] for more information about the ferry. You get a discount with Interrail (about 20-30% I guess) which means that you wouldnt have to use a travel day for the ferry. Also, an interesting alternative could be the ferry from Civitavecchia (north of Rome) to Barcelona, which is also operated by Grimaldi Lines.

To support our work, buy your official Interrail pass via our partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)

If you have more questions please ask :)

Hi Mike.
Like Flo wrote, the one starting close to Rome is also a nice option: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/civitavecchia-barcelona/22
Please read here, how to get the Interrail discount of 20%: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-company/grimaldi-lines/225
