I\'m travelling from Cahors to Carcassone, France, transferring in Toulouse. There are different transit times, the shortest being 13 min. Would that be enough time (13 minutes) for someone carrying a 26-inch suitcase and a backpack? I walk quickly but if there is a fair bit of distance between the different lines, I would like a longer transit time.

Hi!

This shouldn\'t be a problem. There are two underpasses in Toulouse Matabiau; maybe both trains even call at the same platform.
Generally you can make all connections that are shown in a schedule planner; are you going to travel with Interrail or a regular ticket?

Hi thanks for the info. I\'m traveling with a regular ticket since I will only be using trails twice to travel in this trip.

OK. So I wouldnt see a problem taking the connection with 13 minutes changeover time.
If the train from Cahors is on time then it will be no problem - just be ready to alight when the train arrives in Toulouse, so take your luggage early enough and wait at the door to be one of the first to get off the train.

Both your train from Cahors to Toulouse as well as the train from Toulouse to Carcassonne (which is coming from Bordeaux) use the same railway line from Montauban about 60 km north of Toulouse so in case of a delay it is likely that your connecting train is delayed as well.
In case that you miss the connection in Toulouse due to a delay you can take another train to get to Carcassonne - ask at the info point if you are unsure which train to take in that case. :)
