Hi,
I\'m flying into Arlanda Airport in August and am planning to take the night train the following day. My questions are: 1) If we stay overnight in Downtown Stockholm, where is the nearest train station from which we can board to travel directly to Abisko Turistation to hike Kungsleddon? 2) Or is it better to stay put around Arlanda Airport? 3) How, where, and when can be book train tickets?

Hi!

1) All long distance trains stop only at Stockholm C, the central station in the middle of the city: https://rail.cc/en/stockholm/stockholm-central-railway-station/l79

2) The night train to Narvik also stops at Arlanda C (as do virtually all long distance trains to the north): https://rail.cc/en/arlanda/arlanda-central-railway-station/l659
So if you find a cheap hotel ([ux]https://rail.shop/bookingcom[/ux]) at Arlanda you could also stay in the area; however since you would have enough time for a walk around Stockholm I would recommend to stay overnight there.

3) You can book tickets online at [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/sj[/ux] - tickets for the summer night trains should be available from March 8.
