Hello my friends

My Eurail guide tells me that "A Eurail pass is valid on the S-Bahn (suburban metro railways) networks that DB operates in major German cities. The S-Bahn can be recognized by its logo (a white S on a green background)."
Is there a list available of the cities in which a S-Bahn network operates - Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, München, Dresden, Belin?
And in particular is the Düsseldorf S-Bahn system which is integrated into the Reinbahn network covered by a Eurail Pass?

Best Wishes

Richard

Hi Richard,

Have a look at Wikipedia for the different S-Bahn networks: [ux]https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Bahnen_in_Deutschland[/ux]

And this is the list of companies accepting Interrail/Eurail: [ux]http://www.diebefoerderer.de/uploads/media/Internationale_Passangebote.pdf[/ux]
The Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn network is operated by DB, Abellio and Regiobahn which all do accept Interrail and Eurail.

Hej Flo

Thanks for the hints. The link to the table showing companies accepting Eurail is very helpful.

This information will enable me to make maximum use of my time in each city, which at the moment include all of Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, München, Dresden, Berlin and Düsseldorf.

And the planning goes on! :-)
