How do I go about booking my overnight train ticket for my trip in July 2017? Do I have to have an Interrail Pass to do so? We plan on making this trip back to Budapest after a week in Croatia to catch our flight back to the states. So a round trip ticket is what we will need if that is an option?

Hi Mandy,

the night train from Budapest to Split (and reverse) is not bookable online. https://rail.cc/en/night-train/budapest-split-g1204/132

How does your overall route look like? If you are a US resident you will have to travel with the Eurail pass or regular tickets; the Interrail pass is available for European residents only: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/eurail[/ux]

If you are going to do more rail trips, a Eurail pass would be an option for you - we can help you with planning and what tickets you should get.

If you are only travelling Budapest - Split and return I would recommend to contact Wasteels travel agency in Budapest; they should be able to book the tickets for the night train: [ux]https://rail.shop/wasteels[/ux]
