Hello,
First time inter railing!
My inter rail pass is 5 days within 15 days.
My planned route is
Amsterdam >Berlin >Prague > Budapest > Bled Lake > Rome
I was planning on going from bled to rome on the 22/06/17 however, when i have looked for trains it is saying none available?
Does this mean that i can not go the following route?
Please help! i really want to do both bled and Rome
Thanks
Liam :)

Hi Liam,
where did you look for schedules? I recommend [ux]http://plan.rail.cc/[/ux]. The reason why you didnt find timings probably is due to the annual minor timetable change in mid june; Italian Railways usually update their summer timings only at short notice.
You can still look for timings for an earlier date - timings wont change much in June, if at all.
I have written two blogs about traveling to/from Lake Bled, see links below.
Please support us by buying your ticket through our partner link to interrail.eu: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you!
If you have any further questions, just ask. :)

Hey.
If Lake Bled is to busy for you in summer, check on of the smaller places along the railway line for a stop.
But if you want (need) a hostel to stay overnight, Bled is the best option for you.

Hello,
Just had a look at the time table (think it has been updated now) and it is showing one train a day leaving Lake bled at 21:30 that runs to Rome. Can someone help me with alternative routes or am i going to have to change route and miss out bled?
Thanks,
Liam

Hi Liam,
there is no _direct_ train from Bled to Rome. The 2130 departure is from Bled Jezero (the station close to the lake): [ux]https://rail.cc/en/bled/bled-jezero-railway-station/l1902[/ux] and you have to change trains twice: in Jesenice and Villach.
The train from Villach to Rome requires a reservation: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/vienna-rome-en-40233-nightjet/92[/ux]
Of course there are plenty of more options available, either during the day or overnight. How would you prefer to travel? Where did you look for this schedule?

OK; so if you want to travel during the day using one travel day only the best option is to travel from Bled Jezero to Nova Gorica; in Nova Gorica walk across town to Gorizia Centrale station in the Italian part of the twin city as described here (in reverse): [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/italy-slovenia-train/[/ux]
From Gorizia Centrale take a train to Venice; and from there an express train (Frecciargento or Frecciarossa, shown as "Eurostar Italia" in the schedule planner) to Rome. A 10€ reservation for the express train is compulsory; you can buy it online as described here: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/frecciargento/49[/ux]
The most attractive connection is:
Bled Jezero 0838 - 1011 Nova Gorica
walk or bus to Gorizia Centrale
Gorizia Centrale 1142 - 1356 Venezia Santa Lucia
Venezia Santa Lucia 1425 - 1810 Roma Termini
You could also take a later train from Venice to Rome if you want to have a quick look around Venice - Santa Lucia station is in the middle of the lagoon directly at Canale Grande and you can reach Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco within 15-30 minutes. Remember though that your reservation is only valid on the booked train!
The reason you only found the one connection (leaving at 2130) is that the schedules are not yet fully updated beyond June 11.

Thank you so much for your help!
For the train times you have posted could you perhaps post the link to the website you used please? As when I\'m looking on the rail planner app it is not showing the last train. Also do you have any ideas when the schedules will become fully updated?
Thanks again :)

You\'re welcome! Please show your support in return and book your ticket through our partner link to interrail.eu at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you!
I normally use [ux]http://plan.rail.cc/[/ux] to look for schedules. In that case I searched for a date prior to June 11; you can still plan with these timings as timings won\'t change much (if at all) after that date. Major changes always take place in December.
Alternatively you can also use [ux]http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/en?[/ux] - both schedule planners (as the Rail Planner App) rely on the same timetable database so it is basically a thing of usability which one you prefer. If you don\'t feel sure about a certain connection please just ask and we can certainly help. ;)
Unfortunately I cant tell the exact date when the schedules will be fully updated for the summer; but for Italy this usually happes at rather short notice, I\'d say about one month in advance.
