Hello everyone.
We are planning to travel from Sibiu to Belgrade (using a train) and plan to transport our bicycles with us.
It appears to be cumbersome to go from Romania to Belgrade (Serbia in general) by train.

What would be the best route to proceed? do Romanian trains allow you to carry bicycles?
the best route i\'ve found so far: Sibiu - Vrsac (and then by bike to Belgrade)
It appears that travelling by train from Vrsac to Belgrade always requires you to go via Budapest??

thanks for the feedback!

Hi Mathias!

There are two daily connections from Timisoara via Vrsac to Belgrade, you don\'t have to go via Budapest. You will find them in the schedule planner of Serbian Railways at [ux]https://rail.shop/sv[/ux]

Regarding bicycle transport, most trains on that route wont have dedicated facilities as you can see from the schedule planner (no icon shown); here is the schedule planner for Romania btw: [ux]rail.shop/cfr[/ux]
However, you can take your bike with you as a luggage item if you disassemble it and store it in a bicycle bag. It might even work to transport it completely mounted on the platform of the first or last coach of the train (in Romania) but this might depend on the mood of the conductor.
