Hello!

I am planning a trip to Serbia, Montenegro and Greece by train in march next year. Serbian Railways website says that both trains 334/335 Belgrade - Thessaloniki and 336/337 Belgrade - Skopje is cancelled until further notice due to construction works. These information is updated in the beginning of september this year, is it anyone that have som information about when these train is supposed to running again? Will they run in the end of march 2017?

How about the last leg from the macedoninan / greece border Gevgelija - Thessaloniki? Still not running in march?

Many tanks for any answer.

Hi,

work south of Nis is scheduled to be finished in May 2017, so in March there definitely won\\\'t be a train. Unfortunately there is no replacement bus either, so you might think about an alternative route. More about this route on the blog - which will be updated as soon as we receive any news: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/belgrade-skopje-thessaloniki-train/[/ux]

Hi Flo,

Many thanks for your reply, then I think it´s better to wait a while and try again to ride on this train in may instead.

Yeah definitely.
Meanwhile you could try a more adventurous route and go to Mitrovica in Kosvo. Trains from Serbia run from Kraljevo to Mitrovica Sever (Nord). You then have to walk across town from the Serbian to the Kosovarian part of town and get a bus/minibus to Pristina/Kosovo Polje. From there, two daily trains run to Skopje. From Skopje, you could go to Greece as described in the (German) blog: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/de/skopje-nach-athen-via-bitola-florina/[/ux]

I just read that the end of work on the Nis - Presovo line currently is scheduled/expected end of May.
