Hello,

I am completely new here, and very new to traveling. I am currently trying to find an affordable way to get to either Ljubljana or Lake Bled. I want to arrive August 8th or 9th and leave August 14th. I'm coming from Prague.

Does anyone have experience with finding affordable tickets for this route? :?: :D And how does one best utilize this web site to do so? I found some general routes through some specified and some vague transfers - do you have to go to the train station to then buy these tickets? Sorry, I'm a complete n00b. If I should look at a FAQ page or something, please refer me. :) Thanks!

-K

Hi!

It's actually rather simple - CD sell Včasná jízdenka Evropa tickets for 1076 CZK one way from Praha to Ljubljana. Buy via [ux]https://rail.shop/cd/[/ux]
From Ljubljana to Bled, just buy tickets at the station in Ljubljana. More on how to get to Bled: https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/

IF you are a young Cesky-think about the letna jizdenky-valid 7 days on all CD-so that would cover the Cz part. Then its choose between bus or train-f.e. you can buy advance via oebb.at (the Ausztria CD) singles Wien-Graz from 9 eur (sparschiene) and they also do cheaper advance tickets to Ljub (=Laibach) or onward. Perhaps the former youth-all Austria ticket is also still there and can cover the route. Bled is very close to AT-Border near Jesenice.
