Hello! We booked our plane tickets from Cyprus to Thessaloniki at 24/7-4/8. We had a train plan: Thessaloniki-Belgrade, Belgrade-Vienna, Vienna-Budapest, Budapest-Thessaloniki. Unfortunately the last route is not available any more and we don't know how to go from Budapest to Thessaloniki. Is really important not miss our flight on 4/8. We have provide the lenght of route from Budapest to Thessaloniki and on 3/8 we had the day free for the train trip. We booked the air ticket long time ago, when the route from Budapest back to Thessaloniki was available. We really like to know if the route will be open and available for us in 3/8, and if not what other solutions we have.

Hi!
The route from Belgrade to Thessaloniki should be open again during the summer: [u]https://rail.cc/blog/belgrade-skopje-thessaloniki-train/[/u]
Alternatively you can travel from Thessaloniki via Sofia; from Sofia either take the direct train to Budapest via Romania or travel via Nis - Belgrade.

Hi Flo!Thank you for responsive!Our problem is the route Budapest to Thessaloniki not the route from Belgrade. This route(Budapest-Thessaloniki) will be available again at 3/8?And if not what solutions we can have from Budapest to Thessaloniki at 3/8?(duration of train travel not more 1 day and a half)

Are you talking about the direct train from Budapest to Thessaloniki? This train is just one or two coaches which are attached to regular trains from Budapest to Belgrade and Belgrade to Thessaloniki. So you can travel from Budapest to Thessaloniki every day by just changing trains in Belgrade.

I mean about the direct connection in attachment! It will be available again at 3/8?

No, but like I said you can use one train Budapest - Belgrade and another train Belgrade - Thessaloniki with the exact same timings as the direct train only with the difference that you have to change trains in Belgrade.
