Hi!
So, I'm having some troubles in finding an easy solution to this situation:
I'll be in Venice during my InterRail this summer and after that I want to be in Barcelona. The thing is that I'm trying to fill my whole journey in a Flexi 10-days-in-1-month and by the time that I reach Venice, I'll be with only 5 travel days left.
After Barcelona, all I have to do is travel back home to Porto.
Can you help me? What are my best options?

Hi!
Venice to Barcelona with 5 travel days is no problem at all.
You should follow the route Venice - Milan - Genoa - Nice - Marseille - Montpellier - Perpignan - Cerebere - Portbou - Girona - Barcelona; you can easily make this route with three travel days, even without any trains with compulsory reservation. The remaining two travel days then are needed to get back to Porto. I recommend travelling to Madrid, then taking the night train to Vigo, then to Porto. :)
Another alternative which would require even less travel days would be to go from Venice to Rome, then take the ferry Civitavecchia - Barcelona. https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/civitavecchia-barcelona/22

Thank you! :)

Hi Flo!
Thank you so much for your reply! Could you help me simulate a two-day itinerary then? I would really like to explore Madrid for a couple of days since I'm passing by. :)
In which of these cities that you've suggested do you think it should be better to stop for an affordable overnight? Have you ever done this route across the south coast of France? There are so many options for trains, schedules and stops... I'm very confused with so many information :D :D
Just one last thing: is it possible Venice-Barcelona in 1-day? How much would it cost me? I guess I have to consider this option if I can't find cheaper accomodation somewhere along the way...
Thanks once again!

If you want to use two travel days only, you have to travel from Venice to some point between Nice and Marseille, then continue from there to Barcelona. It would be more relaxed though to use three travel days.

Venice - Barcelona is not possible within one day, however you could travel with one travel day to Civitavecchia or Livorno, then travel with the ferry to Barcelona.
