I am planning on travelling from Florence to Nice on Tuesday 19th July. However, train times are not the same on [ux]http://plan.rail.cc[/ux] , the rail planner app https://rail.shop/interrail/app and your online list of train connections so I'm a bit confused and I don't know which to trust!
What is the best way to get from Florence to Nice on this date? Firstly for free (no reservations) and secondly the best way with reservations (How much would this cost?).
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your help! :)

I'd go with plan.rail.cc and also check timings on trenitalia.com and ter-sncf.com
If you go with regional trains, go via Pisa - La Spezia - Genoa - Ventimiglia; if you are ok with paying extra you can either take a high speed train to Milan, then travel via Genoa - Ventimiglia or also travel the former route, using IC or Frecciabianca trains on part of the route.

INside It simply use any of the dozens of ticket-machines and set it only to VENTIMIGLIA=borderstop with FR, as it will only do trips In IT. You can then see the actual and most uptodate timings. The use of IC-trains should be free for IR, but it is really recommended (unless you want to risk standing all the way, as all normal people get reserved seats, unmarked in the train) to pay the 3 eur for IC-trains, and go/use that from PISA-so you can also glimpse that leaning tower there, routing along the coast, some quite nice views included for free. Set machine to global pass and write eurail-it does not matter what in fact.
In Venti there are local French trains about ev 30/45/60 mins in less as 1 hr to nice/nizza in Italian.
