Me and two friends purchaced a 30 day global interrail ticket. We are starting by flying to Barcelona from the UK and are planning to go to Nice after. We have read that france is a country where it is harder to interrail through, and we are confused about some reservations that we plan to make. At the moment, we want to book our Barcelona - Nice train. I am using the interrail reservation service where it is telling me it will cost me about 60 euro (booking fee included) to make this journey. I have spoken to people who have went interrailing and done some research on the internet, and they have said they never paid more than 15 euros. Is this the price it will cost for me to make this journey or am i looking in in the wrong place / the wrong website. I also tried reserving seats throught the sncf website ( [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation/[/ux] ) but i think that just showed me the full price of the train fare instead. I want to book sooner rather than later to avoid complications but 60 euros seems a bit extreme considering i alreay paid £400 for the pass itself.
Thanks for any replies in advance

Hi!
I hope you purchased your Interrail passes through our partner link with interrail.eu: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] to support our work.
There is no direct Barcelona - Nice train, so you will need at least two reservations.
TGV and AVE high speed trains from Barcelona to France are rather expensive, you can see some example reservation fares here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-france-spain/sncf-tgv/298
They cannot be booked online via the SNCF website [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation/[/ux] (it shows you fares but not the Interrail reservation fares)
Domestic TGV services in France cost 9€ or 18€ depending on when you book (9€ reservations have limited availability) and can be booked online via [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation/[/ux]
