Hi!
Given the cities you mentioned, this would be a very straightforward route.
Amsterdam - Berlin: https://rail.cc/blog/amsterdam-berlin/
Berlin - Prague: https://rail.cc/blog/berlin-prague-train/
Prague - Budapest: Direct trains every two hours and one night train, no reservation required.
Budapest - Vienna: Direct trains at least every two hours, no reservation required.
Vienna - Munich: Direct trains every two hours, connecting services every two hours in between.
Munich - Paris: One direct train plus several connecting services, 13€ reservation required.

Thank you! :)

Thank you very much for your reply!!
Have you got in mind any other places I could visit on that route which are good places to drink?

Well, you should definitely go to Cesky Budejovice and/or Plzen where Budweiser Budvar and Pilsner Urquell come from. :)
Maybe make an intermediate stop in Salzburg en route from Vienna to Munich to go to Müllner Bräu and later maybe to L'Alchimiste Belge (of course, you could also go to Belgium straightaway - maybe instead of Amsterdam?).
Also, go to the Bierfranken region of Bavaria, around Bamberg/Bayreuth/Nürnberg/Hof.

Hi
Thanks for your response, I would be okay to fly from the UK to Berlin and begin my interail pass from there? With the route you had in mind what pass would be most suitable?

Flying to Berlin would be no problem of course.
Given your initial route minus Amsterdam you could go with the 5in15 if you'd manage to finish in Paris within the 15 days validity. Any extra trips, for instance from Prague to Ceske Budejovice/Plzen could be done with tickets bought locally.
Another option would be the 7 or 10 in one month, giving you more flexibility both regarding time and available trips.

Hi
Just to clear this up, 5 places in 15 days would cover
Berlin
Prague
Budapest
Vienna
Munich
Paris

Hi
And finally how much do you reckon it would come to for accomodation and spending money on a student budget?
Thanks for all your help!

For accomodation look on https://rail.shop/bookingcom/ and [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux] - I'd calculate with 20€ on average.
Food, beer etc between 10€ and 20€ per day - if you caluclate with 40-50€ per day on average you will be definitely fine. Depends on your personal preferences of course - if you want to go to different clubs etc every night you might budget some extra money etc...
Yeah, 5in15 would cover your above route, given that you reach Paris on day 15 at midnight the latest.

Hi,
I've been thinking and would this possibly work fly from the uk to Budapest and go from there to Prague
Berlin and finally finish in Paris for Euro final.
This route would be cheaper for me and therefore would it only be 10 days?
Thanks for all your help

Well, the cheapest/shortest Interrail pass available is the 5in15 - if you'd just go to Budapest, Prague and Berlin you could think about getting advance fare tickets for each journey which might work out cheaper.
Look at [ux]https://rail.shop/mav/[/ux] for Budapest - Prague; [ux]https://rail.shop/cd/[/ux] or [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] for Prague - Berlin and [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] for Berlin - Paris.

Hi,
does the 5 places in 15 days start when you get on your first train?
Thanks again

When ordering your pass, you have to choose a first day of validity - eg May 12. The pass is then valid from May 12 at 00:00 until May 26 at 23:59. While travelling you can then choose all five travel days as you please, which means that you do not necessarily have to use a travel day on May 12. This would make sense if you would start with a night train on May 12, using the 19:00 rule for night trains.
