While planning my route I realized I could add one or two more cities/villages to it and I would gladly appreciate some suggestions.

The current itinerary is:
Milan
Lago de Como
Verona
Zurich
Salzburg
Budapest
Vienna
Krakow
Auschwitz
Prague
Berlin
Amsterdam

Regarding this, what other locations worth visiting would you add ?

Thank you.

1st time on IR? then you young guys always do the capitalcity-visit-as-much-as possible, so add Bratislava, Vaduz (Lichtenstein) and Warszawa (easy overnite trains from Prahy and to B). Or continue at end to BRUssel-LUXembourg-Paris. Dont forget the selfies!
For a more serious answer: why not give some interests and what U like to see/do? and how much time you have for it.

Good morning !

If you have Amsterdam in your to-do-list, try Brugge or Antwerpen and Paris of course ! :)
(From Paris, you have a direct night train to Venice passing by Milano.)

bye !

Brugge is certainly a good idea, also have a look at Gent, Antwerpen, Delft...
If you want to travel a nice mountain railway line have a look at https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/ (and travel Milan - Verona - Como - Bernina line - Zurich - Salzburg - Vienna - Budapest - Krakow - Prague). If you want to use night trains you could use night trains like this: Budapest - Prague - Krakow - Vienna - Berlin.

Oh, and keep in mind that the Paris - Venice night train (Thello) is quite expensive for Interrailers as you only get a 25% reduction on the full fare (you do not have to use a travel day though if you have a Flexi Pass).

Thank you very much for this information. That railway line looks amazing, wow. Brugge sounds like a good idea too. Don't know if I'll have enough time to get there, though.
