From now (31/1) till 31/3 the 15% discount when you buy Global InterRailpasses is back. You can have it start at a later date, but final day of use is 15/5-the sunday of pentecost(pfingsten) this year. Thus it seems likely that this same discount will also apply in autumn-off season.

There seems to be some different ideas about the last day:
some say 15/5 is the last day to use these cheaper passes. This used to be the case the last years.
Others (bahn!) say that is the last starting day.
In general I hardly ever see the other pages of site, though when searching I found that a lot of it is rather outofdate now (f.e. HiSpeed of NS is dead since a few years now)

This is not correct. During the last Spring promo, you could buy passes from 1 February to 31 May and 16 May was the last possible starting day - almost the same procedure as this year.
Regarding outdated information, it would be much more helpful if you would point out specific points which need to be updated but I am not sure you really want to do that.
