Stockolm to Umea by train

Good afternoon,
I haven´t ever been Sweden and I want to go from Stockolm to Umea, should I take the one Stockolm-Lulea??? Can I buy it the seam day or I must do it by reservation??

Hi!

There are up to four direct Snabbtag express trains during the day from Stockholm to Umea; travel time is about 6h30.
Are you travelling with a rail pass (Eurail, Interrail) or just want to buy a single ticket?

If you book earlier you can get cheaper fares; on the day of departure the ticket will be more expensive and on peak days the train can be full.
