Hello,

Currently I am staying currently in Germany for past 11 months and I am a citizen of India.
My wife and kid joined me before 4 months.
Now we like to travel to Swiss in September.
Currently I hold aufenthaltstitel till Dec2015.
I came through work permit and I got aufenthaltstitel.

1. Please let me know whether I can travel with Interrail pass in Swiss.
2. Please let me know the eligibility for me to get Interrail pass and for my wife.
3. Whether any other documents is required for travel.

Regards,
yaso

Hi Yaso.
Officialy it says you need a document proving your current residency in Germany. If this Aufenthaltstitel is a document you have with you showing this residency, you are fine traveling as well by Interrail in Switzerland. The same is for your wife.
But if you ONLY want to travel in Switzerland, Interrail might not be the best option for you. Where do you start from in Germany, what is your planed route in Switzerland (how many travels, how many days in total)?
The Swiss Pass is maybe a good solution for you [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/switzerland[/ux]
Pete :)

Thanks for your reply.
I would like to stay for 4 days.
I am staying in Stuttgart. I can reach Schafhaussen with BW Ticket from Germany.
Geneva, Interlaken, Lucerne, are my places of target as of now.
Interrail Pass Swiss for 4 days 149Euros
Swiss Pass for 4 days 251CHF

Also I have registration Certificate from local Rathaus.

Regards,
Yaso

Hi Yaso.
Ah from Stuttgart - I'm often there... :)
Finally you need something to prove the conductor that you are allowed traveling by Interrail (=you currently stay in Europe). Usually the train staff is not interested in it and is fine with the Interrail pass itself, but it might happen that a conductor is curious. :)
The Swiss Pass includes as well several ships, the Postbus system also excursions on the Rigi for which you have to pay extra with Interrail.
I'm not the specialist for the Swiss pass - so I can't make the calculation for you... Flo is more experienced in traveling Switzerland - but he is still traveling the next week - but I'm sure you will get a reply from him - or from someone else in the forum .
Have a nice weekend, Pete :)

I think that in your place I would choose for the Interrail pass.
The Swiss pass gives you much more options that you wont need when you are only visiting these cities. For example the RigI-Vitznau bahn including the boat towards Luzern.
When you are traveling all the way from Interlaken towards Geneva I recommend taking the train via Zweisimmen - Montreux. This Golden Pass route is just wonderful!

Hello,
Today I checked with DB Reisezentrum, they said to bring the passports to purchase the Interrail pass. Also, 6months stay in Germany is fine for purchasing the Interrail pass.
(Mt. Titlis is 50% off with Interrail pass)

Please recommend me an itinerary and place of stay for family(I don't know whether this is right place to ask)

- Regards
Yaso

Hi Yaso.
I can only help you with train schedules and routes. For accommodation and everything else, just use the standard tool like [ux]https://rail.shop/bookingcom[/ux]
Depends on the bus route you talk, but Postbus is not included in Interrail. If a connection is shown in this app, it does not mean that it is covered. I also recommend to use a live tool, not an app: [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux]
And I also can only help you with further planing, if you bought your rail pass via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] and filled out the form here: https://rail.cc/en/plus
Otherwise please ask for support at the place where you bought your Interrail pass from.
Pete :)

Hi.
I know. :)
But important is WHICH link you use. As then the website of Swisstravelsystem has to know, where you come from. In your case from the link of myswissalps.com and not the one I posted which includes the code for railcc.
However, I wish you a good time traveling Switzerland. Some impressions are here:
