Hello guys,

I'm thinking of buying a pass 10 in 22 and doing this route starting in September 3:
Istanbul - Sofia - Beograd - Budapest - Ljubljana - Zagreb - Sarajevo
3/9 7/9 10/9 13/9 18/9 21/9 23/9

I was thinking a bigger route but then travel time would be too much and i rather prefer visit less countries but enjoying more each one. What do you think about this route?

Another issue is the construction works between Turkey and Bulgaria. Does that affect in any way my train Istanbul - Sofia?
Do I have direct trains from capital to capital and which one need reservation?

Sorry all the these questions but it is my first interrail and I'll do it alone.

thanks
PS: Besides, after Sarajevo I'll do Sarajevo - Split - Dubrovnik by bus.

For just this an IR is a complete waste of money-like throwing it out of the window. Only if you use it for many more+longer trips it may be worthwhile. Also: from 1/9 there will be again a 15% low-season discount.
Look at Balkan FLEXI pass-and for now a direct BUS Ist-Sofia is by far the better choice.
