Athens to Patras Train or Bus ?

Hi again guys,

I'm going to Patras from Athens on 16.08.2015 but not sure whether i use an express KTEL bus or stick with the train? Any suggestions? As far as i know trains from Athens stops at Kiato and from there you have to continue with buses or am i wrong?
